ISTE Conference Website Design

Overview

The ISTE Conference & Expo is one of the largest education technology conferences in the world. With more than 20,000 in attendance annually and more than 1,000 sessions, ISTE is known for pushing the limits of the education horizon with cutting edge, progressive learning trends. The ISTE 2016 website was designed to reflect that sentiment -- innovative, high impact imagery and mobile optimized. 

 

Goal

The goal was to launch the website with a save the date splash page that would give visitors a window into the exciting, innovative culture of the ISTE conference. At launch our goal is to capture leads and nurture those leads through to registration for the event, once opened.

 

Role

My role was lead digital strategist and project manager, coordinating development between design agency and development agency, while acting as lead stakeholder for representing ISTE scope requirements as they apply to user experience and brand standards. 

 

Results

Since launch, the ISTE 2016 website has had a 10% increase in mobile traffic and 1,500 subscriptions to our mailing list. In the first 30 days, there were nearly 7,000 visitors, 78% of which were new visitors.
